Make a Scene Photo Co. wants everyone to be able to plan an event with us, book, sign, pay and enjoy their photos, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on:

  • this website, makeascenephotos.com;
  • online proposals and the booking, e-signature and payment pages;
  • client booking pages for personalizing the booth;
  • Digital Lookbooks, the online galleries guests open from the QR code.

How we build for accessibility

  • Text and controls meet WCAG AA color contrast in both light and dark themes.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks, labels and buttons so assistive technology can navigate them.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and error messages say what went wrong and how to fix it.
  • Buttons and links are sized for one-handed use on a phone.
  • Motion respects your device's reduce motion setting.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives. Decorative art, like our mascot, is hidden from screen readers.
  • Pages zoom to 200% and reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
  • We check new pages with automated accessibility tests and keyboard testing before they go live.

Known limitations

  • Guest photos. Photos in Digital Lookbooks are taken at the booth during your event, so individual photos don't have written descriptions. Every control in the gallery is labeled.
  • Payment form. Card and bank details are entered in a secure form provided by our payment processor, Stripe. If you have trouble using it, contact us and we'll arrange another way to pay.
  • Documents. Signed agreements, invoices and receipts are provided as PDFs. If you need a document in another format, ask and we'll provide one.

At your event

Our attendant is there to help any guest use the booth. If some of your guests will need specific assistance, tell us ahead of time and we'll plan the setup with you.
