Accomack County mixes island destination weddings with mainland history. On Chincoteague, the Chincoteague Center's 9,000 square feet can be divided with sliding partitions for gatherings of up to 800. On the mainland, Vaux Hall Farm in Melfa spreads weddings, reunions and retreats across 513 waterfront acres with lodging for 42, and in Onancock, Shore History rents the museum and grounds of Ker Place, a 1799 Federal mansion.
Chincoteague has held Pony Penning every July since 1925, with the famous Pony Swim and an auction of that year's foals run by the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company. Marguerite Henry's 1947 novel Misty of Chincoteague made it famous, and summer weddings on the island still feel like a storybook.

Planning notes for Accomack County

- Chincoteague, Accomac and Onancock are in our Zone 3: one flat fee that covers gas and tolls. If an event needs an overnight stay, we quote that separately.
- Pony Penning week
- Late July brings big crowds to Chincoteague. If your date falls that week, book early so we can plan our route, parking and load-in.
- What the booth needs
- About 10 by 10 feet, one standard outlet within 25 feet, cover and shade outdoors, and about an hour to set up before your booth time starts.
