In Princess Anne, the restored 1744 Washington Hotel hosts intimate weddings, tea parties and corporate events, and The Henson, the UMES hotel and conference center, has a grand ballroom and ten conference rooms. Janes Island State Park in Crisfield has two 100-person pavilions for parties and reunions, and Great Hope Golf Course in Westover hosts golf outings and fundraisers.
Crisfield calls itself the Crab Capital of the World, and its National Hard Crab Derby fills Somers Cove Marina every Labor Day weekend. Twelve miles offshore, Smith Island is Maryland's only inhabited offshore island and the home of Smith Island Cake, the official state dessert.

When Somerset County celebrates

- State-park pavilions are open-air, so the booth needs a sheltered spot out of sun and wind, plus power within 25 feet. Confirm power with the park before your date.

- About 10 by 10 feet, one standard outlet within 25 feet, cover and shade outdoors, and about an hour to set up before your booth time starts.
