At the head of the Chesapeake, Cecil County weddings happen at waterfront vineyards, historic manors and canal-side ballrooms.
Cecil County has wedding history. In the 1920s and 30s, Elkton was the elopement capital of the East Coast: its marriage bureau issued 16,054 licenses in 1937, before Maryland added a 48-hour waiting period in 1938. Today couples plan bigger days, with vineyard weddings at Bohemia Manor Farm on the Bohemia River, manor weddings at Mount Harmon on the Sassafras and ballroom receptions at the Chesapeake Inn on the C&D Canal.
Chesapeake City is the only town in Maryland on a working commercial canal, and Fair Hill's 5,656 acres host equestrian events and the Cecil County Fair. Whatever the setting, the booth prints unlimited strips and fills a live lookbook guests open by QR code.
Flat travel fees from our Sussex County base, gas and tolls included. Any address not listed gets its fee on your proposal before you sign.
