Milford straddles Kent and Sussex counties, and either side of town is inside our free travel zone.
Milford is the reason the ladybug is Delaware's state bug: a second-grade class here campaigned for it in 1974, and the Bug & Bud Festival still celebrates it every April. The town's calendar centers on downtown and the Mispillion Riverwalk, from the farmers market to the December Holiday Stroll.
For receptions, the closest verified venues are a short drive north in Kent County: the barn at Loblolly Acres in Viola, the Killens Pond Nature Center in Felton and the exhibition halls at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. The booth works in all of them, from a barn corner to a fairgrounds hall.
