Bayfront resorts on Kent Island, Wye River estates and Chester River lawns: Queen Anne's County has some of the Shore's best wedding settings.
Queen Anne's County packs a lot of waterfront into one county. On Kent Island, couples choose resort weddings at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and Kent Island Resort. In Queenstown, The Point at Pintail spreads ceremony and reception sites along four miles of Wye River shoreline, and Queenstown Harbor sets a sailcloth tent for up to 250 on its Chester River lawn. In Centreville, the county-owned Conquest Preserve has a riverfront pavilion that seats 140.
The county seat has history to match. The Centreville courthouse was completed in 1792 and is one of two 18th-century courthouses in Maryland, with a statue of Queen Anne out front that was dedicated in 1977 with Princess Anne in attendance.
